  THIS IS REGARDING BAY OAKS @ 424 TARPAY IN TEXAS CITY They sent Abe to the nursing home day before yesterday and all day yesterday they neglected him. They didn't even brush his teeth. I left him alone for 5 hours and they didn't rotate him once. They weren't monitoring his fluid intakes nor giving him water till he had to ask. He has had a temperature for over 24 hrs, going on 48. Their thermometers aren't calibrated, mine read him yesterday at 101.5 and the nurse was tryin to tell me he was 99 and fine with her thermometer and wouldn't tell me the last time it was calibrated. They haven't bathed him, they were moving him without watching out for his neck, they didn't even know he was a quad. They're telling me that THEY "THINK" his Cath stays in for weeks at a time, but they weren't sure. They didn't even now he had a fever till I told him. He has had a fever since 6pm day before yesterday. They didn't feed him while I was gone yesterday either. This whole place reeks of urine. The floors are sticky and I have not once seen any of the "nurses" use hand sanitizer. His bathroom is shared with 3 or 4 other people and it is filthy with a catheter hanging behind the toilet. They haven't cleaned this room since we've been here. There is hair and feces stuck on the shower chair they use. There is a urine under his bed that's not from us and his catheter bag is leaking too. There is blood on the floor and buggers on the wall. They don't have the proper equipment to take care of him they have no circulation pumps on him, he has not had any physical therapy, they just give him tylenol for the fever when he needs to have a cooling blanket. They have him with a room mate that's discouraging him who watches crap tv and plays his music loud all day. The bed he is on is old and rickety and doesn't bed in the proper areas. Abe hasn't been able to sit up since he's been here. He is always complaining about the smell. There's cockroaches in the breakroom in the microwave that obviously hasn't been cleaned in forever. They have him in a room next to an entry door they use all the time so theres mosquitoes which really upset Abe yesterday being that he can't move to kill it. His roommate snores bad. They didn't have his medications, he has to ask for his pain meds which should be scheduled I had to tell them that he needed his adavan and ceriquil....this is ridiculous. The hospital sent him here cause they didn't want to pay for his care. Now he's digressing, he looks terrible. Theyre not giving us fresh straws or clean drinking cups. Tanisha said we would.meet this morning at 7:30 to discuss Abe and she we didn't meet till 10:30 cause she didn't even get there till 10. They lied on his medical forms since he has been here, I tried to take a picture and she took the paper from me. They lied about sending in my request for all medical records to their corporate office to get "approval" even though I have both Power of Attorney paperworks on file with them so that they could probably have the weekend to fix what they lied about in his file. They gave me a non working name and number for their corporate office and milked it till after 4:30 when no one would be in since it's Friday. My mom hasn't stopped crying since Abe arrived here. THS IS A TERRIBLE PLACE!
